    1. Go to your Homepage.
    2. Hover your mouse on the post that you want to report.
    3. Click on the icon in the top right corner of the post, and choose the “Report Post” option. Then, click on “file a report”.

    Connect With Liberty's chat features include: 

    Instant Messenger
    When logged in to the website, you are able to see a list of all of your friends who are currently online. If a friend has been inactive for a few minutes, they'll appear as idle with a half-moon indicator.


    User to user chat
    You can chat with friend in real-time with our instant messaging system. We use live communication relay servers to make sure your replies appear instantly.


    Chatrooms
    Feel like hanging out and talking with anyone on the site? Click on the "multiple people" icon and click "The Lobby" to enter the public chat room. Anyone can join the chat! We host special chat events to cover political debates and presidential addresses. 




    You can also access "The Lobby" chatroom by clicking on the Chat tab which is located on our main menu bar.


    Video chat with friends.
    In an instant message conservation, you can click the video icon at the top right of the conversation box to see different conversation options. To start a video chat with your friend, click the "Start a Video Call" button. You'll have the option of allowing only your mic and not your webcam if you're webcam shy.



    Pop Out Chat. 
    Have too many chat windows? Condense them into a user-friendly list-view layout by clicking "Pop Out Chat" button in the upper right of any instant message box to open the new pop out chat window.




    Turn off chat / appear unavailable to chat.
    Going rogue? On the main "Chat" box, click on the "cog" icon in the upper right hand corner and unselect "Available to chat" to appear offline. You can also click the "Hide chat" icon on the far bottom right of the page (the green switch).

    If your account is disabled, you won't be able to log in. Please keep in mind that there are many reasons why an account might be disabled, and we handle each of these cases differently. 

    Continued prohibited behavior after receiving a warning or multiple warnings from staff members may result in your account being temporarily or permantantly disabled.

    If your user profile has been disabled, you'll see the following when you try to log in. If you don't see this message then you're probably experiencing a login issue.

     

    Common reasons for accounts being disabled may include:

    Spam. Most of the accounts we disable are because they are spammy, or just plain fake, and they introduce security risks for Connect With Liberty and all of our users. These types of accounts are against our Terms of Service. Unfortunately, sometimes a real person’s account gets disabled by mistake, and in those cases we’ll work with the person to make sure the account is reinstated.

    Account security at risk. If we suspect an account has been hacked or compromised, we may disable it until it can be secured and restored to the account owner in order to reduce potentially malicious activity caused by the compromise.

    Abusive or threatening behavior. We may disable an account if it has been reported to us as violating our rules surrounding abuse. When an account engages in abusive behavior, like sending threats to others or impersonating other accounts, we may disable it temporarily or, in some cases, permanently.

    File an appeal and we may be able to restore your account. If you think that we made a mistake in disabling your account, you can appeal. Please click here to submit an appeal to the network administrators. Please include all of the relevent information regarding your user account, including your profile username. We’ll take a look and respond as soon as possible.

    Verification is currently used to establish the authenticity of identities of key individuals and popular brands on Connect With Liberty. Any account with a blue verified badge  on their user profile is a verified account.

    These profiles may include:
    • Official CWL staff member accounts
    • Public and Political figures
    • Radio Hosts, Blogers and Journalists



    Currently, we are not accepting verification requests from the general public. If you feel that you may meet the above listed criteria, please visit the Help Desk and make a verification request. All verification requests are approved directly by the network administrators. A verification request must include a link to your official website as well as links to a Facebook or Twitter profile. Be sure to complete the About section of your profile page to provide more information.

    Yes! The setup of CWL is very similar to other social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. You are able to Upload Profile Photos, post comments and links to your wall as well as other users walls, add friends to your profile, and post status updates from your page. You can also post blogs, article links, videos and photos that can be shared with other members. Go to Edit My Personal Info to edit your profile information, details and contact information.

    To stop receiving email notifications:

    1. Click on “Settings” link at the top right corner from any page of this community.
    2. Go to the ‘Notifications’ section.
    3. Now, uncheck the fields for which you do not want to receive email notifications.

    Notifications are updates for various actions that someone might make on your profile, on any content related to you. For example, whenever someone comments on something you have posted, you will be notified by email. The default setting is for an email to be sent out whenever anything that relates to your account occurs. If you decide you are getting too many notification emails, you can pick and choose which ones are sent. For example, you may not want to be notified every time there’s a reply to one of your comments but you may want to know when other members send you a personal message or a friend request.  


    To change your Notification settings, please follow the steps below:
    1. Click on “Settings” link at the top right corner from any page of this community.
    2. Go to “Notifications” section.
    3. Select the actions on your Profile for which you want to receive email notifications.
    4. When you are done, click on “Save Changes” button to save your changes.
